Governments are also positioning the partnership as a nation-building and city-shaping package. Among the projects highlighted were Waterfront East transit in Toronto, the GO 2.0 regional rail push, support for ALTO high-speed rail between Toronto and Montreal, and continued emphasis on major Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area projects including the Ontario Line, Eglinton Crosstown West Extension, Scarborough Subway Extension, Yonge North Subway Extension and Hamilton LRT.
