Last week we spoke about some of the fun goings on in Toronto this summer. From events like Picklefest for pickle lovers to Renaissance Fairs for the more nerdy of us, the summer is filled with activities you don’t want to miss. This week, let’s talk about some of the fun events happening across Vancouver.&nbsp;What’s summer without a sweet treat that will cool you down in the extra hot weather we’re experiencing this year? From June 20th to August 4th, you can participate in the Vancouver Ice Cream Festival. The event’s website describes the festival as a self-guided tour of several participating ice cream spots around Vancouver. Participants get a passport and have the opportunity to complete challenges through social media.&nbsp;On Saturday, August 9, Vancouverites can head down to Lumberman’s Arch for the Vancouver Water Fight 2025. This year’s event will be the 14th annual Vancouver Water Fight and is free to enter. Some of the rules include no spraying innocent bystanders, don’t aim for the face, pick up your water balloon garbage after, and that you should spread the word unlike fight club.&nbsp;Sunday, August 24th is Day of the Dog in Vancouver. This is a free event where dogs run the city and is described as “North America’s largest party for dogs and their people.” Some of the events of the day include a dog pool party, photo booths, a dog pie eating contest, a Dogue fashion show, puppy yoga, the dachshund and corgi races, dog buffets, and more.&nbsp;If you’re a pickle lover bummed out about missing Toronto’s Picklefest due to the distance, have no fear. On September 6, 2025, Picklefest will be making its Vancouver debut. Just like the Toronto event, Vancouver Picklefest will include dozens of vendors, various options of pickled foods, drinks, commemorative merchandise, and much more. Some of the interesting Picklefest delicacies include pickle flavored beers and pickle lemonade.&nbsp;Additionally, Vancouver is hosting several cultural festivals all throughout August. These events include the Surrey Latin Festival, Taiwanfest, the Colombian Independence Day Picnic, Philippine Days, the Korean Cultural Heritage Festival, the African Descent Festival, the Light Up Chinatown Festival, and the World of Love Multicultural Festival.&nbsp;Vancouver will also be receiving visits from many musical artists throughout the rest of the summer. Some fun concerts happening in the city include Tate McRae, Nickleback, Sam Barber, Creed, Neil Young, Bryan Adams, the Jonas Brothers, Linkin Park, Megan Moroney, and many more.&nbsp;Hopefully this list gave you some ideas for how to spend the remainder of your summer months, or at least a place to start your planning.&nbsp;
