On Sunday, April 12, the Canada-China Realty Professional Association celebrated its 20th anniversary by hosting the Awards Charity Gala 2026. The event, often described as the real estate community’s version of the Oscars, was hosted at the Hilton Markham Suites Conference Centre in Markham, Ontario. Almost 1,000 guests and 160 sponsors graced the event. Notable attendees from the Greater Toronto community include Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Tim Hodgson, Minister of Women and Gender Equality and Secretary of State for Small Business Rechie Valdez, Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti, and of course the CCRPA’s President Steven Sun.&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img src="https://files.rifo.co/CompanySite/228/228_TomHodgson,CanadasMinisterofEnergyandNaturalResources.jpg"></figure>The event received recognition from Prime Minister Mark Carney who wrote a congratulatory letter which thanked the CCRPA for its role in Canada’s growth and prosperity, as well as the CCRPA’s charitable contributions. RIFO was represented at the event by members of its senior leadership team, led by CEO and Founder Johnson Ji, who attended in support of CCRPA’s 20th anniversary and its community fundraising effort<figure class="image"><img src="https://files.rifo.co/CompanySite/228/228_JohnsonJi,CharlesJiang,RobertFotheringham.jpg"></figure>The event combined industry recognition with a strong charitable component. In remarks highlighted in CCRPA’s official recap, President Steven Sun said the association’s 2026 gala raised CAD $120,000, bringing cumulative four-year contributions to Yee Hong to CAD $920,000 as part of CCRPA’s stated $1 million charitable commitment. He also stated that the CCRPA has communicated with all three levels of government over the past 20 years and are reaffirming their commitment to reaching solutions as the real estate sector continues on through uncertain circumstances.&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img src="https://files.rifo.co/CompanySite/228/228_VickiHuangandguests.jpg"></figure>The evening also served as a recognition platform for industry achievement. Some of these awards included the 55 Top Producer awards, the CCRPA 20 Year Service Award, and sponsor appreciation plaques such as for the Gold Sponsors, the Friendship Sponsors, the Key Sponsors, Platinum Sponsors, and Ticket Sponsors.&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img src="https://files.rifo.co/CompanySite/228/228_JohnsonJi,CEOandCofounderandCharlesJiang,RIFOHoldingGroup.jpg"></figure>&nbsp;Aside from awards, attendees could enter to win several prizes. Some of these lucky draw prizes totaling more than $30,000 included, a vacation at Camp Adelaide and Briars Resort, two new iPads, a Thermage FLX facial and neck treatment from NewU Medispa, furniture, a massage chair, a drone, and many more. The event also auctioned off 40 bottles of Kweichow Moutai, as Kweichow Moutai was the title sponsor of the event. Other organizations that helped sponsor the event, among many more, include RIFO, TD Bank, CIBC Bank, The Commercial Bank of China, and Foxwoods Development.&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img src="https://files.rifo.co/CompanySite/228/228_STEVEN-SUN-.jpg"></figure>The event included President Sun and other distinguished guests who took the stage and cut their 20th anniversary birthday cake. Various executive directors raised a toast to a successful 20 years of the CCRPA and many more to come.
